The Airborne Modular Intercom (AMI) System has been designed for installation into aircraft that require an expanded intercom and radio communication capability. The AMI System offers a seamless interface to an existing aircraft’s intercom and radio system. The Intercom Controllers are connected by a two-wire data bus, minimising aircraft wiring and ancillary equipment. The end result of the design offers a highly configurable aircraft system that can be easily re-configurable to meet customer requirements. This system is installed on the Customs Australia Dash 8 fleet.
